November 5, 2008
Remember that time?  That was hilarious!!

Local Eye Site wants you to remember that time that something absolutely side-splittin’, knee-slappin’ funny happened in your eye clinic…and tell us about it.

We will compile the stories, and the Local Eye Site staff will select the top 3 funniest stories.  The 3 winners will receive the following prizes:

1st Place: $100 gift card to a store of your choice.
2nd Place: $75 gift card to a store of your choice.
3rd Place: $50 gift card to a store of your choice.

Also, the 3 winners’ stories will be published in the LES Exchange newsletter.

There are a few rules and notes:

1.  Story must take place in an eye clinic, or be related to eye care in some way.
2.  It must be clean (don’t send us anything you couldn’t share with a 1st grader).
3.  Please do not use the actual names of the people, eye clinic, etc in your story.
4. Must be received by November 14th.  Winners announced the week before Thanksgiving.
5.  Make it as brief as possible without missing important details.
6.  Email entries to info@localeyesite.com with subject line that says “Funny Story”.
7.  Please forward this contest to friends in eye care!
Bring it on LES community…make us laugh!!

Big Moment for Local Eye Site

November 4, 2008

Today is a big day in the life of Local Eye Site.  I think we should pause (for only a second J) to take in the fact that the Bascom-Palmer Eye Institute at the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine put up their first 2 postings on Local Eye Site today.  A banner ad on the home page to follow in the next few days.

Why is this such a big deal?  Because Bascom-Palmer is one of the most, if not the most recognized name in Ophthalmology.  A recent Ophthalmology Times article ranked Bascom-Palmer as the nation’s best overall Ophthalmology program for 2008.  Having Bascom-Palmer as a Local Eye Site client in our first 7 months of doing business is a big deal.  A partnership with such a respected organization sends a message to the rest of the eye are community that Local Eye Site too is respected and worthy of consideration.  That’s a big deal.

Deep breath.  Okay, back to work.
